Atomsplit goes to Guns N’ Roses

DJD:  This past Wednesday, we – Atomsplit creators DJD and G808 both fulfilled a life long bucket list item… seeing Guns N’ Roses in concert!

Though it seemed like we were a half mile away from the stage (thank God they have those huge video monitors) it was still dang cool to see the legends reunited.

One of my all time favorites The Cult opened the show and did their best to entertain the massive audience from their part of the stage.  I think I was the only one there who actually knew (and love) early generation Cult songs like “Rain”, “She Sells Sanctuary” and even “Love Removal Machine”.

After a relatively short intermission, during which it was IMPOSSIBLE to get around or get a drink through the massively crowded corridors of the Georgia Dome, GnR hit the stage with “It’s So Easy” followed by “Mr. Brownstone”.

Over two and half hours later and having playing all the hits like “Night Train” and “Civil War” and even instrumental mini-intermissions of Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” and “Layla” (Axl on piano!) it was over.

We made our way out with the crowd as it began to sink in the awesomeness we had just experienced.

If GnR are in your metro area definitely go see them!

#slash shreds it awesomely #gunsnroses @atlanta now !
